A George II sterling silver sugar bowl and cover, London 1730 by Thomas Farren (reg. 16th Oct 1707, this mark 11th Nov 1720)
Of hemispherical form upon a circular threaded collet foot, the reversible fitted lid of domed formed with moulded edge and threaded spreading foot. Fully marked underneath and to the lid.

Apprenticed to John Denny 8th April 1695, free 3rd Oct 1707, where his first mark was registered on the 16th Oct 1707. Working from 1720 in ‘St. Swethings Lane’.
